Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is a U.S. Department of State-funded exchange to bring accomplished mid-career professionals for one year of non-degree graduate study and professional development.
Bereket Aweke was awarded a 2017-2018 Humphrey Fellowship to Vanderbilt University where he developed plans to improve teacher retention and satisfaction in primary schools. He has 12 years of experience in the education and training sectors, including working as a teacher, coordinator and principal. He founded a training and consulting company, “Think Africa,” focused on delivering 21st century teaching methodologies in the education and business sectors.
